 Besan ke Laddu is a popular and traditional Indian sweet recipe  made from gram flour, Ghee, powdered sugar and a topping of dry fruits and nuts like almonds, raisins, cashews, pecans, walnuts, pine nuts or pistachios.







There are many laddo varieties , but besan ke laddu is one of the most popular, and premium sweet especially during Indian Festivals. This Besan ke laddo is so aromatic, delicious and just melt in your mouth with in a second


Some Expert Cooking Tips
  1. Its very important to roast the besan very well until it starts releasing ghee and also starts giving a nutty fragrance. Make sure to roast the gram flour on low flame while stirring
  2. You can use boora/ bura (which is easily available in Indian markets) instead of powdered sugar/ castor sugar for a delicious taste
  3. Use homemade ghee for better flavor and longer shelf life.
  4. Add Dry Fruits and nuts of your choice to get a crunchy bite.

INGREDIENTS 

  • ½ cup ghee
  • 2 cup  besan / gram flour
  • 1 cup  bura/boora (according to your taste)
  • 2 tbsp raisins (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp cardamom powder
  • 8 to 10 cashew (chopped) 

HOW TO MAKE BESAN KE LADDU

Here is a quick and easy method to make a delicious besan ke laddu. Find below my detailed blog which will help you in making perfect besan ke laddu.
Besan ladoo is a kid-friendly sweet as it has a amazing taste along with the health benefits of the gram flour. This basan laddu is a more healthy, delicious in taste 





Follow this step properly while making basan laddu

  1. First, take a heavy kadaai or pan and keep on a low heat. Add 2 cups besan (200 grams) in the kadai.
  2. Dry roast besan on low flame for 5 min Stir often so that besan gets browned evenly and does not burn
  3. After 5 min You can see the color has changed as compared to what it was in the beginning.
  4. Then add ½ cup ghee (125 grams). Mix very well. Continue to stir often and cook this mixture of besan and ghee.
  5. Keep on roasting for 15 minutes stirring non-stop.  The mixture will thicken and the color will change and also you will see that the mixture will start releasing ghee and will give a nice fragrant
  6. Remove the kadaai or pan from the stove and keep allowing to cool slightlyon room tempature add boora (175 grams) and mix really well so that no lumps are formed.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons raisins (chopped), 1 teaspoon cardamom powder and 8 to 10 cashews which have been chopped. You can use any nuts like almonds, pistachios, pecans, walnuts, pine nuts for crunchy taste and flavor
  8. Again mix it very well and shape into medium(ball) sized ladoo with your palms or you can give different shape with your choice
  9. Besan laddu is ready to eat While serving you can garnish with some chopped nuts or cashews like I have done.


You can enjoy this besan ladoo for 1 month store in an airtight container.
